1.1 What is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)?
The world’s major credit card schemes (VISA, MasterCard and American Express) have introduced the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) which is a global information security standard applying to all organizations that store, transmit or process credit card information – including GlobalClouds.com Pty Ltd.
The new standards have been developed to help protect our customers, team members, and suppliers from fraud and identity theft by ensuring that credit card data is handled securely throughout all transactions and interactions including Point of Sale (POS), fax, phone, online orders and email communication.
1.2 Who is the GlobalClouds.com partner for online card payments?
Our customer’s credit card transaction will be handled through the SecurePay Payment Gateway. SecurePay is a business of Australia Post.
SecurePay holds the highest PCI DSS accreditation – level 1 PCI DSS compliance, is regularly and externally audited by Vectra Corporation. Additionally as a wholly owned subsidiary of Australia Post, SecurePay’s financial and internal control systems are also externally audited by the Australian Governments National Audit Office (ANAO). All SecurePay staff undergo screening and extensive background checks.
